The Port Mann / Highway 1 Improvement Project extended from the McGill Street Interchange in Vancouver to 216th Street in Langley. The project included congestion reduction measures such as:
- high-occupancy vehicle lanes;
- transit and commercial vehicle priority measures; and
- improvements to the cycling network.
CJI provided Independent Certifier (IC) services for the Authority, Transportation Investment Corporation (TI Corp), and the contractor, Kiewit/Flatiron General Partnership (KFGP). The IC’s role was to certify completion of the project. CJI was retained jointly by TI Corp and KFGP to provide impartial independent review and certification regarding achievement of both parties’ primary contract requirements.
