CJI facilitated the Gateway Transportation Collaboration Forum (GTCF) as the Secretariat of the Steering Committee partners to collaboratively identify, develop, and seek federal funding for gateway-related projects of national trade significance. These partners included the Port of Vancouver, TransLink, Transport Canada, BC Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure, and the Greater Vancouver Gateway Council.
CJI facilitated the GTCF by providing oversight and direction of the steering committees, working groups and technical trade area studies.
This included facilitating GTCF partners in the identification, development and management of a suite of Gateway-related, multi-modal, corridor improvement projects, monitoring progress of trade area studies, supporting working groups in project development and supporting project applicants in advancing to the formal submission stage. CJI also liaised with key stakeholders, including municipalities and interested groups and facilitated negotiations for project funding partnerships.
