Description

The Gateway Projects consist of approximately 40 discrete projects, as a plan for smart infrastructure investment to strengthen the gateway, ensure efficient low impact movement of Canadian products to global markets and respond to the anticipated growth in trade through the Port of Vancouver. It identifies 2030 as the horizon year in forecasting demand and required capacity growth throughout the region.  The Program is a complex grouping of projects and sub-projects that are to be delivered over the next 10 years.

Scope of Services

CJI’s role is to provide Project Management and Technical Advisory Services for five of the projects including; Burrard Inlet Road and Rail improvement Project (BIRRIP), Burnaby North Shore Rail Improvements (BNSR), Pitt Meadows Road and Rail Improvements (PMRR), Pitt River Road and Colony Farm Road Rail Overpasses Project (PRCF), Westwood Street Rail Crossing Upgrades (WSRC).

Our responsibilities included managing and leading the management systems framework (including scope, cost, risk, schedule, change and document control procedures) and well as leading the development of a Project Execution Plan, project schedules and risk registers through collaborative workshops. CJI provided procurement advice and oversaw and coordinated Owner’s Engineer activities.
