Description
The South Shore Corridor Project provides a reliable and continuous road connection for truck traffic through the south shore area of Vancouver Port. The project included the construction of an 800-meter overpass of ten at-grade road/rail crossings to eliminate the extensive periods of delay for the heavy truck volumes. The project included major road reconstruction, a pedestrian overpass, pedestrian safety improvements and major communications security infrastructure upgrades.
Scope of Services
CJI provided project management services for development, procurement, design and construction phases. This involved liaison with terminal operations and railway companies, coordinating public communications and managing interfaces with Port Tenant’s.
CJI was responsible for managing the budget, scope, cost and schedule and reporting on project progress to senior staff. Reviewing and administering contract changes. Providing construction, and engineering field services as well as safety reviews and formal audits. Managing the procurement of engineering services as well a successful contractor procurement.
