Roberts Bank Rail Corridor
This busy piece of track connects the west-coast Deltaport, Canada’s busiest container port, and the Westshore Coal Terminal, to the North American railway network. On average, 18 trains pass through daily—a number that is expected to rise to as many as 38 by 2021. With a single track and 66 rail-road crossings, the congestion has reached an untenable point.
While not included in the 2013 Top 100 Projects list because its value was too low ($360 million), it’s an important piece of gateway infrastructure. [Read More…]
