CJI received an award of excellence from the Consulting Engineers of BC for project management on the Golden Ears Bridge.

TransLink retained Collings Johnston Inc. as its Technical Manager and Associated Engineering as Technical Consultant to form the Technical Team for the new North-South connector between Langley and Maple Ridge. The team's job was to provide advice and and develop the project scope and concept. Collings Johnston assisted in developing and implementing the procurement and directed all technical, environmental and property aspects.

The team's challenges with the Golden Ears Bridge were to create a concept that would garner stakeholder support, be affordable to TransLink, promote safety and would be seen as an attractive opportunity for the private sector through responsible risk allocation and communication of bidder certainty.
